  • The Military Times Web sites are premier online destinations for military news and information for service members and their families. The sites provide both the latest news on military issues around the world and access to the electronic edition of the weekly newspaper.
  • Stars and Stripes: The hometown newspaper for service members, government civilians and their families in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Pacific, Stars and Stripes offers the same type of national and international news, sports and opinion columns found in newspapers in the United States.

Information about spouse scholarships offered by NMFA will be posted on our web site in early 2005. Information on other scholarships and financial aid available to military family members can be obtained from high school guidance counselors and other military-related associations.

Scholarships

  • Air Force Association Scholarship Opportunities: Air Force Spouses - AFA is now accepting applications for our Air Force Spouse Scholarship program. Designed to encourage Air Force spouses worldwide to pursue associate/bachelor undergraduate or graduate/postgraduate degrees, AFA will award twenty $2,500 scholarships to spouses of Air Force Active Duty, Air National Guard or Air Force Reservists. Applications must be received by April 30, 2008.

  • The American Legion Scholarship and Financial Aid Information: "The cornerstone of The American Legion's Education Assistance Program is its scholarship and financial aid guide This 152 page booklet, updated annually, is a complete financial aid reference guide for veterans, veterans' dependents and members of The American Legion family.

  • Colonel Richard R. Hallock Scholarship: West Nottingham offers two-year scholarships to children or grandchildren from career military or American Foreign Service families. These are two-year commitments to students in their junior and senior years of high school. The scholarship pays tuition, boarding expenses and academic materials necessary for a complete West Nottingham experience.

  • ARA - American Retirees Association: Information on benefits for divorcing servicemembers and spouses.

  • The Association of Second Fleet Spouses: A self-organized spouse support group for COMSECONDFLT & the Center for Excellence, based out of Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.

  • Carry The Flame, Inc. (CTF): A 501.(c)(3), tax deductible, not-for-profit corporation that focuses on Veterans' families, Veterans' issues and that works to increase awareness about American POW/MIAs from all wars. We are dedicated to the honor and memory of Veterans, those serving in the US Military and their families
