My name is Ronell. I am currently going through the difficulties of enlisting in the Air Force. I have taken the ASVAB and AFOQT, both passed. The job that I hope to have within the AF is still photography specialist, why not do something I love within something I love? Anyways, I hope to help out anybody who is having the same experience as me.

Welcome to the forum! Im Alyssa, and also had a little but of difficulty joining the air force but now im dep'd in and have a ship date. If you have an enlisting/meps questions I'd be more than happy to answer them. Any luck on getting in touch with a recruiter?

To this second, no luck still. I'm going through all means to contact them and set up a meeting. I'm just collecting all my documents so when the day comes, I'm ready.

Yes I did submit a request, but that was on Friday afternoon of last week. So I don't expect the recruiters to contact me immediately. Sooner or later my impatience will get the best of me and I will march down their office with every single piece of paper that is needed and make them talk to me right then and there. But until then, I will be a patient monk

Rarosa....If you took the AFOQT (Air Force Officer Qualifying Test)...you actually have a shot at becoming an officer off the street...Dont take that lightly and go through the entire process

Also...Make sure you are not confusing the AFOQT with the AFQT (Armed Forces Qualifications Test) many confuse the two

Yes I took the AFOQT, I was in the AFROTC (Not JROTC) but my declining grades in the university pretty much said that I couldn't continue. So I chose enlistment as another medium to become an officer. Really want those butter bars.
